Correct Craft has acquired Fluid Motion, the parent company of Ranger Tugs, Cutwater Boats and Solara Boats.
Fluid Motion will continue operating under its existing structure, retaining its brands and employees. The company will remain headquartered in Monroe, Washington, and will continue supporting its dealer network and boat owners.
The company’s origins date back to the Ranger Fiberglass Boat Company, founded in Kent, Washington, in 1958. John, Jennifer and David Livingston acquired the business in 1998 and developed it into Ranger Tugs, introducing the R-25 tugboat in 2006. Cutwater Boats followed in 2011, with Solara Boats launched in 2022. Today, Fluid Motion designs, engineers and builds its boats across several facilities in Washington State.
Ranger Tugs produces pocket cruisers ranging from 23ft to 43ft, available with diesel inboard or petrol outboard engines. The range features tugboat-inspired styling intended for extended cruising.
Cutwater Boats builds cruisers from 24ft to 32ft, combining sport boat performance with overnight accommodation.
Solara Boats produces trailerable sport, cruising and fishing models designed for day boating, fishing and watersports.

Its portfolio includes Nautique, Centurion, Supreme, Bass Cat, Yar-Craft, SeaArk, Parker and Ingenity, along with Pleasurecraft Engine Group, Indmar Marine Engines, Velvet Drive Transmissions, Mach Connections, Merritt Precision, Osmosis, Watershed Innovation and Aktion Parks.
