Boatshed Portsmouth has expanded its South Coast presence and opened a new brokerage office at Gosport Premier Marina. The new office will provide yacht sales, valuations, documentation support and new boat sales.
According to the firm, the move highlights the increasing demand for face-to-face brokerage services alongside digital platforms, with the office providing a local base for those looking for advice on buying, selling and yacht ownership.
Samantha Cassell, senior yacht broker at Boatshed Portsmouth, explains: “We wanted to establish a local presence that allows us a better opportunity to discuss options with our clients, with personalised advice, market expertise, and experienced and practical brokerage support.
“We’re excited to help clients make informed decisions when buying or selling a boat and every aspect of yacht ownership; we have strong relationships with trusted local shipwrights, engineers and marine businesses to help with repairs as well, so pop in to say hello if you need any help.”
Part of the global Boatshed brokerage network, Boatshed Portsmouth says it combines local market knowledge with access to an international network of buyers, sellers and industry partners. The website, which celebrated 25 years in 2024, is described as the UK’s first online brokerage and is one of the longest-established online boat sales platforms specialising in the marketing and sale of used boats.
Boatshed Portsmouth primarily operates across Portsmouth Harbour, covering locations including Haslar Marina, Gosport Premier Marina, Royal Clarence Marina, Port Solent, Southsea Marina and Portchester, as well as several local sailing clubs, boatyards and mooring locations.
The firm says the new office will help make the yacht buying and selling process more accessible while providing local support for both first-time buyers and experienced boat owners.
