Sea Ventures appoints Vicky Farrow as managing director

Vicky Farrow takes over as managing director of Sea Ventures

British boat dealership and brokerage Sea Ventures has appointed Vicky Farrow as managing director, taking over the role from Nigel Colley.

Sea Ventures is a dealer and distributor for the Jeanneau brand of sailboats and motorboats, and the Excess brand of catamarans.

Farrow joined Sea Ventures in January 2026 and has spent the past several months working alongside Colley while overseeing the team. Her background includes marine sales and senior leadership roles across a number of marine brands.

After more than 30 years as managing director, Colley will remain with Sea Ventures on a part-time consultancy basis. He will continue to lead the company’s Race division while also having more time to pursue sailing.

Farrow says: “I am very much looking forward to continuing Sea Ventures’ success and am committed to driving growth, building strong relations and continuing the team’s relentless commitment to ensure that we remain strong and develop to meet the market’s demands. We are a complete boating solution, offering new and used sales, servicing and spare parts.

“Our experience shines through and we are grateful to the support of both Excess Catamarans and Jeanneau. We will continue to innovate and I am very much looking forward to leading and supporting Sea Ventures moving forward.”

The company recently moved to Building 10 at Swanwick Marina on the River Hamble. The new premises provide a larger showroom while keeping Sea Ventures based within the marina.
