Ancasta Group, a yacht brokerage and new boat distribution company based in Southampton, UK, has appointed Rob Seabourne to the newly created role of group brokerage manager.
The appointment follows the company’s expansion across the UK and Europe, where it now operates a network of 22 sales offices. In April 2026, Ancasta founder Nick Griffith sold a majority shareholding in the business to Ancasta franchise owner Matthew Shave for an undisclosed sum.
Seabourne rejoined Ancasta in May 2026 after seven years away from the business. In his new role, he will work with brokerage teams across the group to support performance, share best practice, identify opportunities and oversee the company’s used boat sales activities.
“This is an important appointment for Ancasta as we continue to invest in our brokerage business across both the UK and Europe,” says Stuart Brotherton, sales director at Ancasta.
“Rob will play a key role in supporting our brokerage teams, developing opportunities and helping drive our used boat sales business further forward.
“His combination of brokerage expertise, commercial leadership and deep understanding of Ancasta makes him uniquely qualified for this role. He knows our business inside out, understands our customers and shares the values that have always set Ancasta apart.”
Seabourne has more than 20 years’ experience in the marine industry. He started his career working on board luxury yachts and with sailing charter organisations in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. During that time, he became a commercially endorsed RYA Yachtmaster and completed two Atlantic crossings before joining Ancasta in 2003 as a sales broker at the company’s Hamble office.
Over the next 16 years, he held brokerage and new boat sales roles at the company’s Hamble, Brighton and Dartmouth offices.
In 2019, Seabourne relocated to Mallorca to join a luxury yacht sales company as sales manager. He later became brand sales manager, overseeing sales across Germany, Spain and the Balearics.
