Sunreef Yachts and Brabus have unveiled the Brabus Ultima 55, the first model to emerge from the companies’ collaboration. The 55ft luxury catamaran combines a multihull platform with an advanced hydrofoil system designed to reduce drag, improve stability and deliver speeds of more than 40 knots.

The Brabus Ultima 55 is our answer: a design with a clear identity of its own, real performance, uncompromising quality – and what we call the ‘one second wow’.”
The Brabus Ultima 55 joins a growing list of high-profile launches ahead of the autumn boat show season, with manufacturers continuing to unveil new models in the run-up to the Monaco Yacht Show and Cannes Yachting Festival.
Hydrofoil system underpins performance and comfort
Developed jointly by the luxury yacht builder and automotive design brand, the latest addition measures 17m (55.8ft) in length and is said to combine the space and stability of a catamaran with the performance expected of a sports yacht. Twin 533kW (725hp) six-cylinder engines power the yacht, while an integrated hydrofoil system generates lift beneath the hulls to reduce hydrodynamic drag and improve efficiency and ride comfort. According to Sunreef Yachts and Brabus, the system also provides virtually zero heel, creating what they describe as the sensation of flying above the water.
The exterior features a carbon-fibre design package developed by Brabus, including exposed carbon front and rear wings, illuminated Brabus logos, bespoke exterior upholstery, and a choice of Graphite Black or Phantom Grey finishes. Folding side platforms expand the beam from 5.6 to 7.6m when at anchor, creating additional deck space. Transformer sunpads, a wet bar, barbecue grill and extendable carbon-fibre dining table are designed to provide flexible areas for entertaining.
Inside, the saloon incorporates Brabus Masterpiece leather upholstery, Alcantara headlining, carbon-fibre trim, and a widescreen helm station that brings together navigation and onboard systems in a single interface. The galley includes an induction cooktop, electric oven, refrigeration and integrated storage, while a retractable 43-inch television and Bowers & Wilkins Marine Series sound system complete the entertainment package.
The Brabus Ultima 55 is available in two accommodation layouts. The standard configuration provides a master suite, VIP cabin, and crew cabin for four guests and one crew member, while an alternative arrangement accommodates up to six guests alongside a crew cabin.

Sunreef Yachts and Brabus partnership grows
The Ultima 55 is the first product to result from the partnership, bringing together the Polish multihull builder and the German performance automotive brand as both companies look to expand their presence in the high-performance luxury marine sector.
The latest launch continues Brabus’ expansion in the marine sector. In May, Brabus Marine unveiled its latest Shadow 38 range, developed in collaboration with Axopar Boats, while last year the company launched a limited edition electric jetboard in collaboration with Awake.
