US boatbuilder MJM Yachts has appointed David Walters Yachts as a dealer covering the Bahamas and the Caribbean, including Turks & Caicos Islands, the British Virgin Islands, the US Virgin Islands, St. Maarten, St. Barths and St. Kitts & Nevis.

David Walters Yachts was established in 1982 by David Walters, co-founder of Shannon Yachts, alongside his wife Betsy Walters. The business initially developed alongside the Cambria sailing yacht brand and later expanded into yacht sales and brokerage. Over time, the company has focused on blue-water sail and power cruising yachts, operating internationally.

“For more than 40 years, David Walters Yachts has focused on representing yachts that embody enduring quality, refined design, versatility, and real-world performance,” says David Walters Yachts president Josh Mclean. “We have long admired the MJM brand and are genuinely excited to welcome their yachts into our portfolio as part of their dealer network.”

MJM Yachts president and CEO Natascia Hatch adds: “David Walters Yachts shares our belief that great design must perform in the real world. In The Bahamas and Caribbean, owners want a yacht that welcomes friends aboard and still cruises confidently between islands – ready for quick hops, longer weekends, and changing conditions.”

MJM Yachts is based in Washington, North Carolina, where it builds performance yachts using its C5 composite construction process.
