Morgan Marine has completed the purchase of Fox’s Marina, Boatyard and Chandlery, on the UK’s east coast, in Suffolk, creating a new entity known as Morgans Group.
The transaction brings the two marine businesses under a single group structure while both continue to operate under their existing names. Morgan Marine and Fox’s will continue to trade independently, retaining their current locations, contact details and staff teams. According to a statement released by Morgan Marine, pricing, processes and day-to-day operations remain unchanged.
The companies state that the formation of Morgans Group allows closer operational coordination between the two businesses, including shared access to stock, parts and supplier relationships, alongside coordinated use of workshops and logistics. The two sites are less than 35 minutes apart.
Morgan Marine is based in Brightlingsea in Essex, and provides boat sales and servicing. It represents brands including Jeanneau, Nimbus, Highfield, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki and Mercury. Fox’s operates as a full-service marina and boatyard, with a focus on refit and repair work for larger vessels, alongside a chandlery operation.
The Fox’s business will continue under its existing management team. Graham Miller and Oli Miller join the group as chief executive officer and chief operating officer, respectively, while Sir Richard Matthews remains non-executive chairman. Commenting on the transaction, Oli Miller says:

The acquisition secures Fox’s future as the premier yacht service yard on the East Coast and one of the finest facilities of its kind in the UK.
“Much of the Morgan business will be complementary to Fox’s activities allowing an even wider range of products and services. Fox’s Chandlery is already established as a leader on the East Coast and the joint ownership of Morgan and Fox’s outlets will offer even more choice, value and service to all customers.
“I am particularly pleased that the proven management team at Fox’s, including Will Taylor Jones as MD, will continue and help take the business from strength to strength. I look forward to joining our friends at Morgans Group when Fox’s celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2027.”
