Seldén Mast has introduced several new products at Metstrade 2025 (running from 18–20 November), including the world launch of the StB rigging screws and the first public showing of several items, including three DAME-nominated new products.
The StB rigging screws extend Seldén’s hardware range by offering an alternative to turnbuckles for new builds and retrofit rigging. The range covers wire diameters 3–19 mm, corresponding to thread sizes from 1/4″ to 1 1/4″. Each unit combines an AISI 316 stainless steel body with a bronze thread insert intended to reduce friction during adjustment.
The product features a round body with a wrench grip and a measurement slot to support repeat set-ups. Polished, rounded locknuts are supplied to minimise chafe and provide a finished appearance. The StB range is available from stock, priced from £64 to £2,400 including VAT.

“We’re proud to bring the StB rigging screws to Metstrade,” says Steve Norbury, managing director, Seldén Mast. “They’re a robust, well-engineered evolution of a core piece of deck hardware, and they sit perfectly alongside the other new products we’re introducing this year. Together, they underline our ongoing commitment to developing smart, practical equipment that makes sailing easier and more reliable.”
Seldén received three nominations in the DAME Design Awards this year for products on display during the show.
The Nail Terminal is a machine-anodised aluminium terminal designed for quick assembly of anti-torsion cables using stainless nails instead of screws, retaining cable strength while reducing installation time.
A dual-direction ratchet for the CXr Code Furler prevents accidental unfurling during hoisting and allows furling to be paused from either side without loss of control.
The final nomination was for a compact stainless-steel clew block for furling mainsails, designed with safe working loads from 1 to 4 tons and intended to reduce sailcloth waste and improve webbing lay.

The company is also presenting the CXr Code Furler series at Metstrade 2025. The CXr series is a next-generation code furler developed to provide increased furling torque, cleaner integration into deck layouts and improved handling. Deliveries are scheduled to begin spring 2026.
Additional accessories on display include tack swivel adaptors for top-down furling, clew-boards and head-boards for cableless code sails, and new terminal options for anti-torsion cables.
All new products are being exhibited on the Seldén Mast stand 01.775.
