Sailing electronics manufacturer B&G has added a 7-inch model to its Nemesis sailing display range, expanding the available screen size options within the series.
The Nemesis range was previously available in 9-inch and 12-inch display sizes. The new 7-inch display — being debuted at boot Düsseldorf — is intended for use on sailing vessels where space constraints or system layout require a smaller format screen.
According to B&G, the 7-inch Nemesis display allows flexible installation, including use as a primary cockpit display or as a secondary screen positioned elsewhere on board.
“We’re excited to introduce the 7-inch Nemesis display, expanding the versatility of the Nemesis line,” says Yasser Nafei, president of Electronic Solutions for Navico Group. “Whether mounted in the cockpit or used as a secondary screen near the ropes, Nemesis ensures sailors have instant access to the trusted data they need, presented exactly how they want it, no matter the conditions.”
The Nemesis series supports configurable display layouts. Users can select from pre-set dashboards or create custom layouts using a drag-and-drop editor. The system includes automatic context modes that adjust the display based on sailing conditions and vessel status, including Upwind, Reaching, Downwind, Pre-start and Pilot status.
The display uses an IPS SolarMax HD touchscreen, which B&G says is designed to provide wide viewing angles and legibility in varying light conditions, including when wearing polarised sunglasses. Data presentation options include adjustable text sizes, colour palettes and backlighting. The unit can be installed in either portrait or landscape orientation.
