Ropeye appoints Kingfisher Yacht Ropes as UK and Ireland sales partner

Ropeye- Kingfisher Yacht Ropes

Kingfisher Yacht Ropes has been appointed as a sales partner for Ropeye marine hardware in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The appointment covers the distribution of Ropeye soft attachment hardware and deck fittings across both markets.

Kingfisher Yacht Ropes is based in Mirfield in the UK and has supplied marine rope products since 2002. The company distributes ropes for sailing, cruising, rigging and mooring. Alongside ropes, the business supplies a range of rigging-related tools and hardware.

Under the partnership, Kingfisher Yacht Ropes stocks the full Ropeye range, including soft attachment solutions such as pad eyes and Pro Loops. These products are designed as alternatives to traditional metal fittings and are intended to reduce weight while maintaining strength and corrosion resistance. The products are made available through Kingfisher’s established distribution channels in the UK and Ireland.

The Ropeye range is designed for use in marine applications where soft attachment points are required. The hardware is intended to complement rope-based rigging systems and deck layouts, meaning it is compatible with existing rope and rigging products supplied by Kingfisher Yacht Ropes.

“We’re thrilled to make Ropeye hardware more accessible to UK and Ireland-based customers,” says Nigel Saddington, group partner at Kingfisher Yacht Ropes. “The combination of Kingfisher’s established yachting rope range and the performance-focused Ropeye fittings creates an exciting offering for sailing professionals and enthusiasts alike.”

The appointment expands the availability of soft attachment marine hardware to chandlers, boatbuilders and rigging specialists. Ropeye products are distributed alongside other marine hardware brands already supplied by Kingfisher Yacht Ropes, including Loop and Tylaska.

Ropeye designs and manufactures soft attachment marine hardware intended for use in sailing and rigging applications. Its products are used by sailors and rigging professionals as alternatives to conventional metal fittings.

Kingfisher Yacht Ropes operates as part of DSM Group. In addition to its own rope products, the company distributes rope brands and marine hardware from Gottifredi Maffioli, Gleistein, D-Splicer, Selma, Tylaska, Loop and Ropeye.

Kingfisher Yacht Ropes will attend the boot Düsseldorf trade show on 21 and 22 January 2026.
