Poland’s marine sector is set to gain new environmental-protection capabilities thanks to a fresh collaboration between two well-known industry names. As interest grows in cleaner and more responsible boating, the partnership aims to give builders, refit yards and boat owners easier access to solutions that help protect local waters.
Wave International has appointed Marineworks in Poland to handle the distribution of its marine environmental protection products. These include Wavestream bilge filters, suitable for leisure yachts and workboats, through to the fully integrated Wavebrite Smart and IMO-approved Wave MiniBOSS for superyachts, and larger leisure and commercial vessels.
Partnership brings Wave International’s certified filtration tech to Poland
Headquartered in Gdansk, Marineworks was founded in 2005 and is renowned as a leading company for sales, supply and support of technical products in the leisure and commercial marine sector. Services include design, supply of equipment, and servicing of new and existing vessels ranging from leisure craft to superyachts, commercial vessels as well as charter fleets and government and military craft.

“We have been looking for a manufacturer whose products meet the highest quality and certification standards while delivering real protection for the marine environment,” says Olga Skronska, group marketing and communications manager (pictured).
“Wave International fits this perfectly, with Lloyd’s Register certified solutions for leisure, commercial and superyacht applications. By adding Wave’s bilge and grey water filtration systems to our portfolio, we can now offer fully compliant solutions to capture oil, diesel, microplastics, chemicals and phosphates at source. This is a natural and complementary extension of our existing product range.”
Why Wave International chose Poland as a key territory
Wave International’s sales and marketing manager Mark Luffingham notes that Poland is a key territory for its products. “Poland has established a great reputation for new build leisure and commercial craft, as well as servicing and refitting. Marineworks is a leading company in this sector with a number of complementary brands to Wave International’s filter products. Our aim is to prevent pollution from oil, diesel, microplastics and microfibres from bilge water, as well as chemicals and phosphates from grey water. Wave’s products will be welcomed by OEMs and existing boat owners, as they can be easily retrofitted.”
With both companies aligned on quality, compliance and environmental care, the new relationship is expected to strengthen sustainable practices across Poland’s leisure and commercial fleets. As measures for water-quality protection continues to rise, the partnership arrives at a timely moment for the region’s marine community.
