Marina Port de Mallorca has renewed its concession and is embarking on a new chapter with sustainability and technological innovation set as central pillars of its management strategy.

Located on Palma’s Paseo Marítimo and operated by IPM Group, the marina says its future roadmap will prioritise energy efficiency and environmental stewardship under the motto: ‘a marina that breathes green and lives blue’.

Planned initiatives include the installation of solar panels on pergolas and dock fingers, solar paving, and an aerothermal system to reduce overall consumption. The marina also aims to achieve greater water self-sufficiency through the introduction of a desalination plant and rainwater collection systems.

IPM Group is also behind a large-scale new port development, which is set to revamp Valencia’s waterfront.

Marina Port de Mallorca will also be underlining its commitment to marine biodiversity with pioneering technologies including:

  • Oxygen nanobubbles to improve water quality without chemicals
  • Biohut nurseries for young fish, fostering biodiversity in the port area
  • Real-time measurement probes to monitor the health of the marine ecosystem

With decades of experience, the Port de Mallorca team is recognised for its personalised, concierge-style service, which management says remains a defining feature of the marina’s identity and a reason it is regarded as a benchmark facility in the Mediterranean.

Its central location offers clients the privacy of an urban marina with direct access to Palma city centre, while its connection to STP Shipyard Palma — the largest superyacht refit and repair hub in the region — allows for a full-service experience combining leisure and technical support.

“Marina Port de Mallorca was the group’s first marina, so we’ve grown together with our customers. This new chapter is really exciting because it means we can continue innovating without losing our intrinsic values: respect for the sea and the friendly service that defines us”, explains Patrick Reynés, CEO of IPM Group.
