Slovenian marine propulsion company Remigo has introduced the RemigoOne Neo, its latest electric outboard, designed to deliver higher power and additional operating features compared with the original RemigoOne.

RemigoOne received a “Special Mention” in its category at the prestigious DAME Design Award 2021.

The Neo provides up to 1500W of power, equivalent to a 4hp combustion outboard. This is available through a boost mode that runs for 60 seconds before reverting to the standard 1000W cruising setting. Remigo says users can reactivate boost by pressing the forward button again, allowing continuous use at the higher output.

“The boost mode gives skippers an extra gear when they need it, without wasting battery on marginal gains the rest of the time,” explains Marko Vrtovec, CEO of Remigo. “The difference between 1kW and 1.5kW is minimal, especially when cruising away from shore. But when you need that burst of torque and acceleration, it’s right there.”

The RemigoOne Neo has an integrated 1085Wh battery, aluminium unibody construction and a variable shaft length. It is intended for recreational boats of up to 1.5 tons, tenders and dinghies. At 15.5kg, including the battery, it is the lightest in its category. If the outboard bracket remains onboard, the carry weight reduces to 13kg.

Other features include a redesigned propeller intended to reduce noise and increase efficiency, the option of a handheld or tiller-mounted remote control, and Remigo’s blade-shaped casing, which allows for low-speed manoeuvring even when the motor is not in use. Charging takes three hours with the optional fast charger and can also be carried out with solar panels or an external battery.

The RemigoOne Neo is available worldwide through Remigo’s distributors and dealers.
