Boatfolk is expanding its Beyonder boat subscription service in north Wales as the marina group adds a second Jeanneau Merry Fisher 795 to its Conwy Marina fleet.
The marina group first launched Beyonder in Wales in May 2024. boatfolk says the addition of the new boat to the fleet is in response to its waiting list and local demand.
The addition of the second boat will enable even more people in the region to access flexible, subscription-based boating, says boatfolk.
Beyonder boat subscription grows
Jon Roberts, marina manager at Conwy Marina, says: “The increase in demand for Beyonder at Conwy has been phenomenal, and in response, we’re bringing a second boat into the fleet so more people can start their boating journey here in North Wales. It’s also fantastic for our existing members across the boatfolk group, giving them even more flexibility to explore our local waters.”
Designed as a flexible and hassle-free avenue into boating, Beyonder offers members unlimited boating across a fleet of modern, well-maintained motorboats at marinas around the UK, including Conwy, Haslar and Portland.
Local couple, Gaynor and Dave, started their boating journey through the Beyonder subscription service at Conwy Marina. They say: “We first heard about Beyonder when a friend spotted a sign at Conwy Marina, and it sounded like the perfect way to get into boating without having to commit to the boat maintenance or buying kit. We look out to sea every day and decided we wanted to experience what the sea had to offer for ourselves in this idyllic part of the world. Booking was simple, the system was easy to use, and we could always get the days we wanted. We’d just turn up with friends or family, head out, enjoy a picnic on the water and come back without having to worry about any upkeep.
“The entire experience with the Beyonder subscription service was brilliant, we loved it so much that it gave us the confidence to step into boat ownership. boatfolk’s boatpoint team made the buying process straightforward and the marina community has been so welcoming. We wouldn’t have done it without the Beyonder scheme – it did exactly what it was designed to do.”
Now proud boat owners, Gaynor and Dave continue to enjoy life at Conwy Marina as part of the boatfolk community.
According to boatfolk, the flexibility of the Beyonder subscription also appeals to holidaymakers and second-home owners, with North Wales-based members able to book boats at other locations like the Solent and Dorset and vice versa.
